The artist behind the fantasy
One independent musician. A virtual band. A world of stories told through sound.
Laughing Dragons is an independent music project by Gianluca Rossini, a keyboardist and music producer whose work moves between jazz and niche electronic styles, with explorations into progressive rock and fusion.
The thread connecting it all is a virtual band. Gianluca takes on the role of Jean, the piano player, alongside Ember and William Grof. Through their music, the Laughing Dragons tell stories of characters, adventures and folklore from the narrative world of Dungeons & Dragons.
Each song brings a piece of that world to life, translating its tales and atmosphere into lyrics, arrangements and sound.

Jean is the composer and creative voice behind the Laughing Dragons, shaping a musical world where fantasy storytelling meets jazz, bossa nova and electronic sound.
As the human pianist of the band, he turns imagined journeys, characters and late-night tavern tales into songs — building the bridge between the real musician and the strange companions who share the stage with him.
